  1. Zilch

    Because I don't have a horse

  2.   One bail of alfalfa, straw, hay is 9 bucks ,  one of my horses alone eats about a bail a week , i throw  him a section every morning .    a bag of grain can very in price , usually between 10 - 13 bucks . but if you give him one scoop a day in the evening after he is stalled up it will last a while ,      ferriers are around 100-200 bucks but thats only every 4-5 months .  treats and snacks are cheap , if you just five them apples in carrots , if you buy the treats from the store it will be more money .   i hope i helped out ,,,, :)

  3. well i don't have a horse.......

but if I did, i would probably spend about, 5-6 hours i guess, depending on the weather......

  4. Well farrier: $30 per horse(x3)

    Lucern: $100 every second month

    Feed: $50 monthly

    Worming: $15 (x3)

I think thats about all so like monthly thats like almost $200 monthly!

  5. I have two horses.

It is $14 for one bale of hay which lasts 2 weeks.

They get fed chalf which is around $30 a bag.

Farrier $40 each for a trim every 7-8 weeks.

    Worming $12  each a tube.

And on top of that is teeth, gear, vet bills, water, extra food attitives when needed, repairing rugs, horse shows, pony club fees and a professional clipper.

This isn't a cheap interest/sport but If you plan out how much you need and make a limit to how much you are going to spend on your horse and nesseities then it isn't so bad.

  6. Grain - $16.00

    Hay - $24.00

    Treats - $15.00

  7. well my horse is at my house, so i pay for hay, she is out on grazing all day to so only has hay at night, which is about £5 a week, also i give her pony mix at night, which is £7 a bag (which lasts about 2 weeks), her feet are done every 6 weeks which is £60  so i put £10 away a week. and any wormers etc she needs xx

  8. Well after the initial set up costs it has worked out to be:

    Fortnightly

    $70 for agistment

    $50 for feed

Plus the $40 for farrier costs to trim her feet every 6 weeks or so

And $60 to do her teeth 3 times a year or so, as needed

Then petrol to get over to see her as well every day, she is 20 mins away

Oh and worming costs, and whatever else i have forgotten lol.

  9. I spend $100 per week for agistment fees, and about $16 a week on feed.

My mare is in light pleasure work, and gets Speedibeet, Biomare cubes and copra, grazes all day every day, and is in fantastic condition.

Of course my weekly spend increases as necessary, when it comes to worming or farriery etc.

  10. after getting all the neccessities out of the way..

in a month [i dont go by weeks] i spent about:

    -$60 for grain..

-$25 for hay [i get it for $1 a bail from my gparents..special deal] but normally it would cost $80-$120..

-$20 every other month for a trimming in the winter and every month in the summer [i also get a deal, its normally $40, but its a family friend. my friend spends $55 for trims though]..

-$8-$16 every two months for dewormer..

-$110 for a year of vaccinations..

    -$25 for a coggins..

-$160 for a year of teeth floatings..

    -$15 for yearly fencing-fixes..

    -$6 treats for three months..

-$0-$80 for shows in a month..

-$50ish every season for tack-repairs or any other repairs..

i went one year when my horse needed two $200 surgeries.. and a $180 vet call for her hock..

you have to be prepared for what you cant expect also.
