  1. as much as he can get the taxpayer to pay for

  2. No matter how much or how little he wastes personally, his point is a very sensible one. Buying more than you need causes inflation, and throwing rotten food away is a crime, and we wouldn't do it if we didn't buy too much. Hundreds of tons go in the landfill.

The problem is exacerbated by large pre-pack offers in supermarkets, and single-occupancy households, who are less likely to be able to consume food before it goes off.

Only buy fresh as it is needed. Go to your local grocers and buy by weight as much as you need, not an ounce more. Cook leftovers. Leftover boiled spuds - we used to make potato cakes with them - letover cabbage, we used to make bubble and squeak.

  3. Not as much as John Prescott.

  4. by the look of him i dont think he wastes anything lol

  5. GORDON BROWN HAS NEVER HAD TO WORRY ABOUT THE NEXT MEAL, PROBABLY HE HAS NEVER BEEN IN A KITCHEN SINCE HIS CHILDHOOD.  BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON  IN HIS MOUTH..   NO CLUE HOW THE OTHER HALF SURVIVES. HE BETTER START CHECKING NO 10'S FOOD BILL..

  6. Probably less than most....he is a canny Scot!

  7. looking at the size of him very little i should think

  8. £ THOUSANDS !!!

  9. Is that why Al is getting bigger......he does not want to waste and he is also saving the environment.

If you really want to see wasted food go to any school cafeteria and what the lunches hit the trash.

I for one can not afford to waste anything!!!!!!!
