On Sunday I did chores to get money to go to the mall and city fair. And since I don't get an allowance my mom is willing to pay me, but she told me to tell her how much I think I deserve. So, how much would you pay someone to do each one of the following chores:

*un loading and loading dishwasher

*clean kitchen counter and tables then wash them

*sweep and mop the kitchen floor

*Clean the litter box

*pull weeds (I did this for about 30min)

*clean living room

*polish/dust living room tables

  1. Well since you live at home, presumably rent free, you should not even come close to asking for minimum wage.  You don't say how old you are, but if you are old enough to get a real job, you should.  I am guessing that you are not old enough though and here is what I think you should be paid.

*un loading and loading dishwasher $1.00

*clean kitchen counter and tables then wash them $1.00

*sweep and mop the kitchen floor $5.00

    *Clean the litter box $1.00

*pull weeds (I did this for about 30min) $3.00

    *clean living room $1.00

    *polish/dust living room tables $1.00

  2. Nothing,

    it's your house,

i mean why should you get paid to take care of the place that you live in..

  3. dollor for each ?

    i dunno im englishh

  4. How long did all of these chores take you?  Try to come up with a modest estimate.  If you tell your mom $100, you prob won't get it, but if you say something like $10 or so, she might be impressed that you aren't trying to hit her up like she's an ATM and slip you a little extra cash.

I think about $10/hr is a good estimate.  Looking at these chores, that looks like it might be about $20 worth.

Or-- you could REALLY try to impress her and say you deserve nothing since you're a member of the house and just helping out... but then say "Well, Susie and I wanted to go to the mall, and I really had my eye on _____, so could I have like $___ to see if it's on sale yet?"  Something along those lines.  :)  Good luck.

  5. 20-25 dollars because that is a lot of work in one day so it is kind of like you wasted your whole day cleaning so about that much...

  6. I do that anyway and I don't get paid
