Question:

How much do you think I should pay for a set of Cleveland CG Reds?

I'm thinking of buying a set of Cleveland CG Reds because I need stiffer shafts. At the moment I have graphite shafts and although I hit them well I can hit these better. I've used a set for two rounds and hit considerably more consistent shots with this set. I would get a set from 2-iron to Wedge with 6.5 Project X shafts. They are 2 degrees upright and have a high flex point.

So how much do you think?

  1. Retail price is $700.  You would expect to pay a little more due to the shafts that are in them, but it sounds like they are a demo set as you have used them a few times so I would think depending on their condition $600 - $700.

  2. It all depends on where you get them from.  I recently bought the CG Golds at Golf Galaxy.  They have them on the floor listed at $599, so around $75 a club.  I found them at Discount Golf World for $499, $62.50 a club.

The Red's are listed at $699 and you can find them online for $599 at Discount Golf World.  And I'd say another $300 for the shafts.
