  1. Sell them for half of what you paid for them

  2. Well not trying to put any more pressure on you but how about donating them to your favourite charity and let them sell them for their cause? i.e. Heart Foundation, Oxfam, PDSA etc

  3. This is a good question.

It's important to consider how long ago you bought these items as well as are they still in style?  No one wants to look like Mrs. Cosby from the Cosby show 20 years ago... remember when she was pregnant and ate an entire watermelon?

First sort your clothing according to how New or Worn they are.  Obviously you could get a little more for the newer clothing.

    Next Sort the clothing by:

    1. Dressy/Business -- worth a higher price

    2. Casual but nice -- what would you pay for casual but nice?

    3. Lounge around the house/maybe run to the grocery store because i don't know anyone there and don't care how I look. -- If these clothes are real duds, you may not want to sell or donate them.

The important thing when pricing your clothing is to keep in mind you're trying to get rid of stuff you no longer need while making a profit --  so don't be greedy.  When pricing your clothes, be sure you would pay what you are asking... And for the ultimate validation of price, invite your best friend over, pour 2 glasses of wine and get busy pricing.

  4. just give them to the Salvation army

  5. Whatever you can get for them. Put them on eBay. The highest price you get will be very close to the maximum you would get elsewhere. Whatever you get is what they are worth.

  6. How about doing a good deed for the day and donating them?

  7. I sold mine for $1-$2 at a yard sale.  :)

  8. Go on Craig's List and see what the going rate is in your area. Make certain your clothing has appeal to today's fashions. Price accordingly. It depends on whether your clothes are from Target or Pea in a Pod as well, but if you want to sell them quickly, definately price them low.

While donating clothes is a terrific plan, sometimes you need the money. By offering clothes at a extrememly discounted price, you could still be helping a mommy in need.

    Good Luck!

  9. Maybe $2 a peice? Although, if you can afford 41 peices of maternity clothes, you might want to consider donating them to someone less fortunate than yourself.

  10. If you itemize on your taxes, the most profitable and charitable thing to do is to donate them to Goodwill or the Salvation Army, and ask for a receipt. You can then claim nearly the full amount you paid as a tax deduction, and those less fortunate can buy the clothes for a reasonable amount.

If not, I'd look on eBay and see what comparable lots are selling for - but the donation idea will actually be worth more in the long run and take less time!

  11. Choose how much in general you would want per item.  $1/2/5?  Maybe ask more for special items and list them separately, like a nice dress for 1/2 or 1/4 of its original cost..

I think donating them is a GREAT idea, or giving them to someone who is pregnant.

I've always wondered why we don't have a better system for giving maternity clothes to the "next generation" of pregnant women, then passing along the baby clothes, etc.  Very few people would ever have to actually buy clothing then, and there would be a lot less waste.

Anyhow, good luck getting whatever you need back from your clothing!

  12. I donated mine the first time and going to do so this time also, there are a lot of women out there who cannot afford to buy them new so why not be charitable.

  13. give them to the less fortunate....ask around and see if anyone you know knows anyone that needs them thats what i did....

The salvation army.....ya..but they will sell them & i think they price to high for used clothes

  14. i never sold mine, i donated them to my church for less fortunate people.

  15. give it to good will

    :)
