Well it depends where in Canada you are, if your in Vancouver then it would cost a lot of money, and if your in Quebec, you'll be paying double the tax. But in general I think around $3000 would help? Not sure.

only you can answer that, what are your expenses-drinks,leisure ,digs meals,travel.do you intend to work?.or just be tourist?.
