  1. 25-30 $

  2. I have been told that I over pay my baby sitter but she is really good with my daughter and she is responsible so I pay her a set rate of $50 dollars no matter how long I need her for usually if I need her it's for more than a couple of hours any way. but for that amount of time I would probably pay her $100 but that's what me and my husband think is fair

  3. I would pay the sitter $8.00 an hour.  I think the people who are suggesting $4.00-$5.00 are way too low.  First of all, 9am to 5pm is a full day, so the sitter is going to have to make meals for the child, help with potty, clean up, keep the child entertained, etc.!  That's a lot of work to do.  Also, you tend to get better care when you pay a little more, and I don't know what person wouldn't want beter care for their child.  If there were two kids, I would pay $10.00-$12.00 an hour.  Best wishes!

  4. I charge $6.25 for watching one child.

so at that price for 8 hours, that would be exactly $50.00

every parent I have babysat for thought that was a reasonable price.

  5. I babysit pretty often and i normally get paid $6-10 an hour, depending on the family.

If your babysitter comes highly recommended, than you should probably pay them a little more. If they are new to sitting, then you can pay them less. It depends on experience.

  6. Depends. The parents know their kid best. If the kid is reckless and loud then $8-10 an hour is what I would say.  If the kid is quiet and just wants to listen to a book, or build with blocks than $5 or $6 sounds fair. Or if the kid is just in the middle, or changes depending on the day, $7 is probably average.

    Parent Pleasers:

    1. If you take care of more than one kid multiply it by the number of kids and then subtract a few (2-4) dollars to give the parents a "discount".

    2. If the parents tell someone about your babysitting (and the person they told gives you buisness) give the parents who spread the word the first hour free.

    3. Bring stickers and cheap little jewelry for the kids. Say "If you clean your plate I'll give you this pretty sticker of Cinderella!"

    4. Write down what you did, what went well and what didn't. Also make sure to get the parents phone #.

Tip: It's always good to go to a local hospital and go to a babysitting seminar.

They give you a card or certificate that is proof that you are a trained babysitter and 110% responsible.

  7. $7 to $10 before 10 pm.

    $10 to $15 after 10 pm.

this doesn't including cooking or cleaning.

  8. I pay our babysitter $5 an hour during the day and $7.50 at night.

    My daughter is 5.

I would say maybe around 30-40 dollars

  9. i'd say $4 or $5 an hour.

  10. $7.00 minimum, per child with overtime. It should be a reasonable amount while discouraging the parents from staying out longer than mentioned.

  11. i do $10

  12. How old is the babysitter?

If the babysitter is 15 or 16 with little or no experience pay them 5 or 6 an hour.

If he/she is 17 or 18 with some experience pay 7.

19-21 with a lot of experience pay 8 or 9.

  13. $5 or more per hour.

When I started out babysitting I charged $3.50 an hour but for some reason they paid me $7 an hour and sometimes extra?

My friend babysat and she made $7 an hour too.

9am-5pm is 8 hours so I would say probably about $50 (more or less...)

I used to babysit from 6pm to about 12:30am and I made usually about $40-$50.
