How much do you think is enough to buffer your gas bill account for the winter months?

i was over charged to can get back all or some of my money from my gas board. so, i was thinking of taking the payment per month they suggested £10- yes, im serious, and leave a little to buffer the account in case my average goes up in winter (my payment was calculated over a 2 year period but who knows) my next reading is in december. so, do you think £50 is enough to leave in the account to buffer it from oct- dec? more? less? thanks

With today's news about Brit. Gas increasing charges by 35% (others will follow), your credit will soon get swallowed up, even if you leave it all till the winter bills come in.

With the price of gas and fuel rising maybe you might want to pad it a little more.
