This is my first time traveling to anywhere in Europe, and I'm traveling with my Spanish and Italian Class in high school. When Presentation for this trip came around just last week the trip was priced at $3450, and $129 for Health Insurance. Not to mention they suggest bringing along $750 for spending money.
My question is, do you think this is a bit much?
Things included in the trip:
-Direct Flight from Edmonton to Rome 0_O
-6 days in Italy, 3 in Spain
-Accommodations in first class
-All dinners and breakfasts are payed for.
-High speed train ride
-A ferry from Italy to Spain
-And Tons of Sight seeing, like the Tower of Pisa.
Its not that its too expensive, but there's a lot of things the school could do to cut down the costs of this trip to make it more affordable for the students with a part time job.
I'm going for sure on the trip only because my parents agreed to pay for it because of my good marks, but I wish they didn't. I should work for it like my friends had to.
