How much do you think it would cost to carpet a bathroom?

I want to get the bathroom of our house carpeted as a surprise for my boyfriend as we have a horrible flooring down at the moment and it would look so much nicer with a cream carpet in there. Its only a small bathroom, about 3mx2m, how much do you think i would be looking to pay?

The carpeting in the bathroom would cost far more than the cost of the carpet itself: It would become a hotbed for mold and mildew, which could make you both very sick.

What about putting in some nicer flooring instead, and using an area rug that you can air-dry for a bit of a soft touch for your feet?

go to Lowes or Home Depot becaus ethey always have clearence carpet rolls for real cheap.  But they can also do it for you for about $200.

DON'T!   It will get stained and horribly smellie.  Get it tiled instead with lovely beige coloured shiny tiles.  The shop assistant will work it out for you and remember that the tiler will charge you as much as the tiles cost for laying and grouting them.

Bathroom carpets are horrible! They collect germs and when they get wet start to smell. Rather get decent tiles (not the slasto ones cos they are hard to clean).

NO, no, no, no! Please please don't put carpet in a bathroom. You will take a significant value off the property if you do this and if you come to sell, nobody will want a carpet in the bathroom, it might stop people wanting to buy the house. It will get wet, and will be full of germs in no time. It will become mouldy, stained and will smell. You can never clean it properly. Just think of what gets dribbled on the carpet... and will stay there for eternity, building up and up...

Carpets are NOT meant for bathrooms. Instead, look at some nice ceramic tiles, or if that's too expensive, how about lino? You can get some lovely patterns that look like marble tiles or wood effect flooring and the place that sells the lino will usually fit it for you. You can easily mop tiles or lino to keep it nice and clean.

It will look sleek, modern and classy in a shade of cream or beige. A carpet will just make it look like a shabby boarding house. Good luck!

Not much, but don't do it. Carpet in a bathroom is a disaster. It gets wet and doesn't dry properly so it molds, it gets pee dribbled on it which will smell and if it's a fitted carpet you cannot clean the smell out. Get some vinyl flooring and a nice washable throw rug.

Please don`t carpet the bathroom! I`ve just put vinyl flooring in a room same size as yours.It is good quality,warmer to walk on than tiles and easy to keep clean.Put down hardboard,rough side up if it`s going over floorboards.Cost? £32 for the lot.You can get all sorts of designs.

not allot prob 20-40 you can get off cut from shop carpet in bathroom wont last long i don't think get bit smelly men missing and all..

it really all depends wear you shop but as its a small room u should look to see if the store u choose has any 'off cuts' i used an off cut in my bathroom which is around the same size and it only cost me £7.50, its best to shop around and most shops will match each others quotes so u can haggle a bit
