  1. But, it doesn't run continuously, or it shouldn't, so the average cost WON'T be 24 hr x 126W.

    There's a way-cool gadget called Kill-A-Watt, a plug-in power meter.  Plug your device into it, will measure volts, amps, watts, and importantly, Kw over time.  Leave it run for an average 24 hours, you'll have your total Kw over a day and thus your answer.

    Available from places like newegg.com for around $20, it's answered all kinds of questions for me (like how much a refrig costs to run, etc).

  2. 126.5 watts

  3. I x R = E

    I squared times R = Watts

    I = Current

    R= Resistance

    E= Voltage

  4. Debbie, it is much simpler to say P = I x E which gives you power in watts if you use current in amps and voltage in volts.  So the Power is 115 x 1.1 = 126.5 Watts.  If your utility charges 10 cents per kilowatt hour you would then calculate it:

    126.5 x .10/1000 = 1.265 cents per hour.

  5. 126.5 w / hour
