  1. $175.00 is an educated guess based on the averages in all the specs needed.

  2. 12 hours times 70mph = 840 miles.

    840 miles divided by 15 mpg = 56 gallons used.

    56 gallons times 4$ a gallon = $224.00 in gas.

  3. Let's assume you get about 20 MPG on the hwy.  On the hwy you normally travel about 60 miles per hour.  So that 3 gallons per hour.  For 12 hours that's 36 gallons.

    At $4 per gallon that's about 108 dollars.

    If your truck does about 10 MPG, they you have to double that to $216.  And if you get about 15 MPG, then you pick the mid point $162.

    SUMMARY:

    10 MPG === $216

    15 MPG === $162

    20 MPG === $108

    Good Luck..

  4. how many miles and what kind of suv?

  5. yep. Hours means nothing!

    by those calcs. you assume 60mph??  nobody drives that slow

  6. The 2002 Ford Expedition belonging to someone else that I drive will get 17.9 miles per gallon on cruise control on the interstate at 63 miles per hour.  Simplifying a bit, that would be 630 miles which would take 35.2 gallons.  If we take the price of gasoline to be average reported here in Dallas today, which is 3.869 per gallon it would cost $136.17.  Going faster for the same distance would cost more as mileage goes down above that speed.
