  1. I tip 15% of the bill.=)

  2. 10-15%.

  3. in the US we tip 15 to 20 percent

it might not be the same for canada

  4. you tip 10-15% of your bill, and you tip the server . we always leave it on the table before we leave.

    also

If you get your drinks and if its a buffay where you get your food we always leave a couple of dollars

Unless its a  place like mcdonald or wendys(or like them) then you leave nothing.

  5. At a place like you described that is not full-service I usually tip a couple of dollars or maybe figure 5% if they were really helpful.

  6. I'm from Toronto, Ontario, and living in Springfield, Mo.  I've been in the U.S., a long time.  If they bring the food, and you get the drinks, I never leave less than $4.  Providing the food was good.  Rule of thumb.  Even $3 could be good.  Especially, if it's 2 or more people, dining.

  7. 15%

  8. It is really nice to see somebody from a "non-tipping" country care enough to ask!  As a former server for 10 years...I thank you on behalf of all servers!  Any restaurant that is self serve for any or all of the meal doesn't expect you to tip the employees.  You should only have to tip (15% for decent and 20% for excellent) at full service restaurants.  Of course a tip is usually always appreciated by anyone and if you can tip more then average (25%-35%)  go for it...chances are, the person you are tipping could really use the money as you would be making up for the shmuck at the next table that will tip 10% or less!

  9. On average, I tip 10%  If the service is good, and I'm more than satisfied, I'll tip more....15-20%.  If it's terrible, I'll tip less.  There have been several times where I haven't left a tip, simply because the service was terrible.

  10. ok well my dad goes to resturaunts all the time so you basicly give them about 15-25% of the ball. If you made them do alot more work than they should have you can be more generous and give them like 30-35%. Hope that helps=]

  11. That's not a waiter, it's not really even a server. I don't tip them.

If it's a buffet and they keep your drinks filled and pick up your old plate between trips to the buffet, I'll go for 10%.

I over tip most places, but I seriously under tip for bad service.
