  1. Ask your travel agent, but usually an all-inclusive includes tips, except for baggage handlers...  All-inclusive lets you forget about money, even tips.

  2. Bring plenty of dollar bills/fives for tipping. It really gets you excellent service beyond. We tip our housekeeping staff several dollars a daily (staff changes daily) We never want for towels, shampoos, creams etc. The beverage servers on the beach get tipped a dollar a drink. If you will be  sitting at bar for a couple of hours, tip at least $5 with the first drink.

At meal times, we tip according to what kind of service we get. At least a couple dollars for breakfast and lunch. Dinner more if they are very attentive. They remember you too.

We tip the bellman at least $2 a bag.

You don't have to tip, but if you want extra service I would tip.

    Have a great trip)

  3. an all inclusive resort includes gratuities, but make sure u tip ur maidservice..a little tip:..if u give out little american trinkets, they love it..keychains..sample parfums..these sorts of things are well liked as tips..for like taxi drivers ..and even maidservice.

  4. Nothing! The only time when tipping was customary for us was when they brought our bags to our room. Slide him a $5. The day trip driver too. Slide him a $5, but the waiters, bartenders, while in the resort don't accept tips. They were soooo nice that we tried to tip them, but they declined. We stayed at the Copacabana in Riviera Maya.

  5. All your tips should be included in the price of what you paid to the resort, but if you have exemplary service from someone..you can give them a few dollars if you wish.

I always leave a nice tip for the maids.

  6. All inclusive means you don't have to tip, however, extra tips will get you extra good service.  For a 5 day visit, I usually take $50 - $75 in ones and fives to tip.  I tip $1-$2 for every round of drinks, $2-$3 for breakfast or lunch, $5 for dinner, then tip the bellman and maids like you normally would.  Also, on my last trip, a $5 tip at check in got me upgraded from a crappy room to a good room with ocean view.

If you go on any tours or excursions, everyone there will ask for tips also.  The tour guide, the hostess, the bus driver, etc.

If you take a taxi, ask BEFORE you get in how much it will cost.  And be careful because many taxi drivers will give you a price that includes their own tip.
