How much do you tip food delivery guys?

I read that the pizza guy often has to pay his own gas and use his own car. So, he deserves a tip at least for that, if nothing else, right?

But they also charge a delivery fee. What does the delivery fee go to if not to pay for the costs of delivery , such as gas?

Do you tip food delivery people? If so, how much do you usually give them?

(For the record, I usually give about 15%)

if older people ( 40 or higher) than  4-6 bucks

if any other than 3-8 bucks

I would tip a minimum of $2. Have to order at least $8 worth of food in north jersey to get it delivered. On bigger orders 15 or 20 percent seems right.

Our pizza place is about 10 minutes away and they get to drive a company car. Some places add $1 to your bill and it says it is a delivery charge.There is another pizza shop right across from the other and they also get a company car.. But anyway, we tip them 5 dollars everytime!
