the one where i work charges $65 for a female cat, $50 for a male, they do specials like 2 males for $100 and 2 females for $125 (or something like that). dogs range in price from $80-$300 depending on size, breed, etc. most big dogs are in the $110-$200 range while the smaller dogs are generally all $250. i think the dogs, small ones esp. are pretty high priced for mostly mutts.

i was just curious how much your local humane societies/shelters charge in comparison?

  1. I think cats are like 45 or 55 and then dogs are like 65 except purebreds that are more. Not sure how much exactly but I think that is stupid because it doesn't cost any extra to fix a purebred.

  2. We got our dog and 2 of our cats from the humace society and I think we got our dog for $50 and our cats for $30 each. None of them were spayed either and they were puppies and kittens when we got them.

  3. My local humane society charges:

    - Puppies (up to 6 months)   $125.00

    - Dogs $105.00

    - Kittens (up to 6 months) $125.00

    - Cats $105.00

    - Pure Breeds and Small Breed $ASK

    Microchip Included

    FIV / FELV test optional – $20.00

  4. Adoption prices range from $75 to $450 depending on species, breed and age.  I'm in Indianapolis, IN.

  5. I only paid 25 dollars for my kitten.
