  1. well, a yard of pea gravel weighs about 2800-3000 lbs/cu. yard, so... (3.7 * 2800) & (3.7 * 3000) = 10,360-11,100 pounds

(or, regular gravel weighs about 100 pounds/cubic foot, so about 10,000 pounds, which is close enough to above answer to give me some confidence in it)

  2. Probably about 5,000 pounds.

  3. about 10,000 pounds

approximatly 100 pounds per cubic foot.

Yes, 3.7 cubic yard is correct.

  4. You need to tell us how much let's say a gal. bag weighs first. I happen to have a gallon bag of pea gravel and it weighs almost 12 pounds. Sooo...doing some math (with my husband's help), we came up with about 9,000 pounds as your total. The density (and, thus, the average weight) of the individual pea-size gravel is only a minor variable to take into account since the average density varies only slightly across the U.S.--according to my son who works for Pioneer Sand  & Stone in Phoenix, Arizona.
