How much does DRIVING SCHOOL cost in NEW YORK?

I'm mainly in Long Island New York, Other times I'm in the Bronx...How much does it cost?...Also, is there a driving school that you recommend????

$50-$60 per lesson hour is the norm for Nassau County...it can be expensive to learn starting as a beginner because by the time you're good enough to pass your road test you will have taken 30-60 lessons in total which equates to a cost of $1,500-$3,600 in lessons.

Something to be aware of is that most people dont have the money saved so they take only 1 lesson per week (paying as they go for each lesson) which means if you need about 40 lessons it'll take you at least 40 weeks to get your license...if you want it quicker then you have to practice alot more than 1 hour per week.

As a professional driving instructor I'd advise you to go out at least 3x per week if you can swing it...if you cant afford that then take only 1x lesson per week and then practice 2x per week with a family member in between lessons.

Fifty bucks sounds cheep. I don't live close to New York but with the traffic they have there if I was a teacher I'd pass out the first time.
