When you sell something on Ebay, they usually take a percentage off when you sell something.

Example, if i were to sell a watch for 100 dollars, how much does ebay take?

  1. It depends on which section you are selling in to what percentage you pay in fees.  For starting out this is a good website on how to list items:  http://ebayingtoearnmoney.blogspot.com/

  2. I havent sold anything on there in a long time but I believe it was 3%.

  4. all you should know is in this link, but its about 3% they take away for you. I just bought a xbox 360 for about $175, and they charged me 150. so not that much. here's the link..http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fvf.html

  5. Around 3%

  6. There's a table where you can see what percentage is going to be charged for the sale.

You'll see how much you'll be charged here:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.htm...

For your example, if your listing sold for $100.00 that would be 8.75% for the first $25.00 and then add 3.50% for the remaining closing value. So that's:

    .0875 * $25.00 = 2.19

    plus

    .035 * $75.00 = 2.63

    which makes it:  $4.81

Well that's at least according to the table. If I calculated it correctly.. hehehe

    ^_^
