Some players don't hit balls very much at all, while players like Padraig Harrington and Vijay Singh could hit like 400 to 1000 balls a day.

Vijay and Tiger in particular are known to be prolific practicers - others are not. Generally however the more you put in too any sport the more you will get out of it.
