  1. Paypal is free to send money.

    Paypal is free to receive money ONLY if you used your PayPal Balance, PayPal Instant Transfer or PayPal eCheck for a personal account.

    However Paypal is NOT free to receive if you funded the amount you sent via credit card or debit card. The recipient will pay fees.

    If you have a business or premier account it is free to send money but the recipients pay a fee
