  1. if the gas tank holds like 10 gallons and all the gear is in it it should be about 1000 pounds maybe less.  also it could be over 1100 pounds and you will be fine if you dont drive it like on  road trip. if its only down the road to the water you'll be fine.

i have a 17ft polar with a 50hp suzuki 4 stroke that ways about 1700 with 30 gallons of gas with gear.

  2. Boat and motor should be about 1150lbs. On top of that you have gas, safety gear and an anchor at least. Plus the trailer.

  3. You could rig it out ready for the lake ,drive it to your Local Scrap Iron scales and get an exact figure today.

(Gas, Tackle Box, Fishing Poles, Cooler with Drink,s  Extra oil and all.)

They will Print you a weight Ticket.

  4. Impossible to answer this question exactly without knowing the age of the boat.  Manufacturing has changed so much over the last ten years on boats with much lighter material being used, so a newer boat may only be about 70% of the weight of an older one.

What I would do is go the Kelly Blue book web site and look up both the boat and motor by manufacturer and year, you will find the weight of both.  Then you need to add the weight of everything else, including fuel and trailer, to get a total weight.  For example if you have a battery on board most likely that will be about 50 pounds.  Enough food and drinks to go fishing for a day, and it would be easy to get up to 2000 pounds before you know it.
