  3. Basically nothing when shooting at the cameras highest resolution.

    Bottom line?  Don't pick your camera by the amount of internal memory.  At best it is a reserve memory if you fill your memory card and don't have a spare with you ... in reality, it is the memory used to "test" the camera in the store so the store does not have to supply a memory card for each camera on display.

    At the cost of memory cards now (4GB CF's are $22 right now), it makes no sense to not buy at least one 1GB  card ... two would be better

  4. Depends on the resolution of the picture. Most photos taken at full resolution on an 8mp camera are around 1-2mb so about 8-16 of them would fit on a 16mb memory card. Basically 16mb is not enough.
