It all depends on picture file type, and resolution/size.  If you're talking about medium sized Jpegs, then you could shoot thousands.   If  your re talking about full size TIFFs or RAW images, then you are only looking at 50-100 per GB. Usually are large Jpeg will work for consumer level stuff.  In that case you should get a couple hundred.
