How much does a 1st grade teacher make?

planning on working with 1 st grade students, my family have always owned a daycare and i guess it seems to run in the family.

i'm at New York , Brooklyn. what could be my yearly salary.

To start off, you'd likely make about $40,000 if teaching at a public school. Private schools usually pay less. Pay can go up to $80,000 or so after many years of experience.

Within a school system, all teachers who have been there an equal number of years are usually paid the same - the grade level doesn't make a difference.
