  1. u just answerred u own question

  2. 1 byte = 1 character

    1024 bytes = 1 kilo byte = 1024 characters

    1024x1000 = 1 mega byte = 1 024 000 characters

    1024x1000x1000 = 1 Giga Byte = 1024 million characters

    So if a mp3 is +/- 3Mb (3,000,000) characters, one will get about 700 mp3's on 2 Gb.

  3. on my 2GB sd card it held over 700 photos

  4. Ummm... That is kind of redundant, "How much can a 2GB card hold?" I think that you answered yourself...

  5. about 500 mp3 files

  6. um it holds 2Gigs you just answerd your own question

  7. If you mean music, a 2GB card will hold approximately 488 songs.  Pictures; 2245 @ 2 megapixels and 281 minutes of video.

  8. Well, a 2gb card will hold roughly 2gb.

    That's a couple of full length movies to equate it into real terms, or about 500 mp3s.

  9. About 400-500 mp3s or 800-1000 photos.

  10. Alot! I have one for my Voyager.  I have right now about 100-150 songs and its not even 1/4 full.

    Also, remember on the size of the songs or videos/pics you want to store.

  12. It depends on the quality of the recording setting and the length of the song. But, a better answer that gives you a rough idea is that a 2GB mp3 player will hold 68 hours of music, or approximately 1,300 songs at 3 minutes a song.

  13. about 500 mp3s

  14. 500 songs.

  15. The simple answer is 2 gigabytes, but you already knew that.  (Actually, the number is somewhat less than 2 gigabytes, but it's close enough.)

    But if you're asking about the number of songs you can store, it's about five hundred.  This makes the assumption that you are listening to mp3's ripped at a 128kb/sec sample rate.  Mp3's ripped at 128kb/sec yield mp3's that use one megabyte to store a minute of music.  There are two thousand megabytes in 2 GB, or about 2000 minutes of music.  If an average song is between three and four minutes, divide 2000 MB by 4 MB / song and you get 500 songs.
