  1. A baby beardy will cost around $100, I got an adult for 150, and the total came to $400, but a baby setup will only be about $200

  2. I live in southern California and bought my baby bearded dragon from Petco for $60! I don't know what these other people are talking about $100 and what not.

    So, here is a list.

    Bearded Dragon: $60

Cage: (I got my 55 gallon on Craigslist.org for $30 but average about $80 for a good 30 gallon minimum.

Heat Lamp: $40 for bulb and ficture.

UVB Light: REQUIRED - $60-90 for bulb and fixture)

Washed Play Sand: $5 from Home Depot.

    Big Rock: Free

Water and food dish: Less than $5 depending on how fancy.

Thermometers: $4 each. (One for cool side and one for hot side.)

OPTIONAL: If your house gets under 70 degrees at night, it is recommended that you get an under-tank heat pad. NOT a heat rock. These cost $20-40.

    Total: $258-350. Not bad.

But keep in mind the beardie as a baby will eat 20 crickets a day so that can get expensive. Try to convert the bearded dragon onto a pellet diet. It has all of the nutrition and more and will cost $8 for a month or two instead of 2 bucks a day for crickets.

Note on UVB: You need a good lamp that will cover the whole tank, and a big enough rock so the beardie can bask within 5-10 inches of the light.

  3. i bought 2 adult bearded dragons for $200 each and i built my cage and all the stuff the food and cage decor it all cost around 700 bucks but if you buy a babie around 250
