I'm going to fly from El Paso (ELP) to Atlanta (ATL) on the 26th of september and I'm using a buddy pass from Delta, and my friend is going to give me a pass. Anyone know how much its going to cost me? And any other details you know?

  1. There should be a way for him to look it up.  It does vary from airline to airline....so you would have to count on another Delta employee to actually see your question, look it up, and answer you.  My best guess would be somewhere around $75....but tell him to look it up for you.  All airline employees have a way to look up the cost of their companion passes.

  2. You need to ask your friend.  They have to know, because they're the employee giving it to you.

It varies by airline and flight.

  3. TOO MUCH!!!  LOL  :)

Seriously, it's 56$ each way, but on top of that is a fuel surcharge of...I think 20$? and taxes, it's getting so expensive to fly on a buddy pass, that I rarely give mine out anymore, on top of that you do know you only get a seat if there is one available and being that your on a buddy pass, employees and their families fly with a higher priority than you, so you basically are the last to get any extra seats. I just looked and there is only 1 direct flight from ELP to ATL on that day, it has lots of empy seats right now, but tends to change a couple of days before the date of departure.

    Good Luck  :)
