  2. It depends on the airline.

    Some airlines let you carry the cat on the plane with you. This is considered your one carry on baggage.

    At other airlines, you could be paying for the pound of the carrying case and cat. Since the cat will be stowed below with the other baggage.

    I took My cat on a trip to Washington with me. not Europe, but pretty far for me. I called around and just looked at the safest and less traumatizing way to travel, for me and the cat.

    I got to take her on the plane with me, it cost me 25 dollars extra and she had to be stored below my seat. Well worth it!


  3. I don't know if you will be allowed to unless you are moving there or getting a work visa. In those cases, a pet is quarantined for several weeks (I know some people who moved to Australia had to wait two months!).  

  4. You will be unable to take a cat on an international flight without going thru a customs procedure which probably will involve quarantine prior to departure.
