How much does a college lecturer earn in India?

Can anybody inform me how much does a college lecturer earn initially in an UGC approved college in India? The candidate is continuing PhD but has not submitted thesis. Thanks

honestly, it depends on ur qualifications ( some extra achievement, which have been socialy and academicaly noticed) and ur negotiation ablity.......and ofcourse the college....... there r so many private colleges.. in india who r paying lesser then 15000/- . It is harsh reality.... But if by chance u happen to b the saleble property...... the sky is the limit..... i know a guy who is earning more then 80thousands + perks each month.
