  1. i can get chemicals at a cheaper price because i buy them at a whole sale warehouse they only sale to people who  service swimming pools for a living. but if you are asking what swimming pool companies charge per month the price is 150.00 to 200.00 dollars a month. i charge 110.00 a month beacuse i run my business out of my home

  2. Its not just the cost, but you have to work to keep it up. It can also be dangerous if you are not vigilant. I would advise you not to buy a house with a pool unless you are really hot to do it. Remember that when you get tired of it, you cant just sell it like a car or boat. If you do decide to buy one, check this very important information first, before somebody gets hurt -

  3. not all expensive you got chlorine(depending on how much you get anywhere from 18-40.00), ph+(16.00) and ph decreaser(16.00)  earth for filter(10lb bag is 11.00 for 25lb 23.00) the drops to test the water(about 8.00 for both) maybe a bag or two of shock it(4.00 for each) if we get the big size of ph+ and 20 tablets or chlorine(about 35.00 for that) that will last up the 3 month swimming season and we have had our 25lb of earth for 3 yrs which the earth should be changed about every 6weeks these prices will very depending on where you live and if you get it at a pool place we have been getting pool stuff at walmart for 6yrs and its just as good as the stuff that the pool place sells  also this is if you do it own your own nothing over 40.00 some months we dont have to buy anything for our pool its very cheep and not that much work it will get pricey if you have some one come in and do it for you

up here in the mountains it gets pretty hot beleve it or not but the highest this year was 94 and man that was so nice to be out swimming  trust me when its so freaking hot out you cant stand it you would jump into this pool lol

  4. Depending on the size, maintenance is not all that high. I used one gallon per day of chlorine. Changed my filter sand once per year. The big thing with a pool is all the friends you never knew you had. many expect to be fed and you provide the beverages. They will never be available when it is time to winterize it or pay for repairs because of something stupid they did. If you have children, you are responsible for the safety of all their friends using the pool.
