  1. usually around 4 or 5 thousand! + 15% Gratutity!

Which is usually 10 dollars a person per a day!

So just check with the cruise line travel agents!

They do usually work with you and try to get you the best deal! :]

  2. Depends on the cruise line... Go Royal Caribbean, inside cabin - book with plenty of time (at least 6 months before cruising), on a 7 day cruise you might just pay something like $500 for the cruise.

  3. There are some luxury lines like Crystal, Windstar and Silverseas that have prices starting around $4,000 per person for a 7 day cruise.  Then there are the medium priced cruise lines which operate from US ports that  have cruises starting in the range of $800 to $1,000 per person for a 7 day cruise, again depending upon the date and type cabin you select.

These are the medium priced cruise lines that most people go on:

    HOLLAND AMERICA

    CELEBRITY:

    ROYAL CARIBBEAN:

    NORWEGIAN:

    PRINCESS:

    CARNIVAL:

    However, there are some differences.

    - Princess, Celebrity and Holland America have great ships are more classy and reserved. Holland America has mostly senior citizens cruising on its ships.

-Carnival is the budget cruise line that has more first time cruiser and young people who want to party, party, party. If that is what you are looking for then Carnival is the cruise line for you.

-Norwegian cruise line is good and I have been on many of their cruises. Its the line that you want to go on if you want to be informal for pretty much your whole cruise. They have formal nights like other cruise lines but they do not stress dressing up; the call it "dress up if you want to" night.

-Royal Caribbean caters most to families and has the most and best on-board activities. Many Royal Caribbean ships have things like ice skating, roller blade track, rock climbing wall, surfing on ship on the "Flowrider", mini-golf course, pool tables. full sized basketball courts, and adults only pool and hot tub area called 'Solarium".

    The price you pay will depend mostly on the type accommodations that you choose. There are 4 basic types of cabins on ships;

    - inside (no window),

    - outside (a window or porthole),

    - balcony/veranda, and

    - suites.

Royal Caribbean has some inside cabins on its Freedom and Voyager Class of ships that have a window overlooking an inside promenade mall.

The "FROM" prices you see will always be for an inside cabin. There are also some subcategories within each category with cabins on a higher deck, and/or a better location on ship (like midship), and/or that are slightly larger costing more. So as you browse, pay attention to the square footage of the cabins. You may not want to pay more for the same sized cabin on a higher floor; or vice versa do pay less for the same cabin on a lower deck.

All cruise cabins are sold based on double occupancy and the prices listed will be per person and based on at least two people going on the cruise.  If you have 3 or 4 people going who will stay in the same cabin then the price for the 3rd and 4th persons will be significantly less;  about 50% of the price for the first two people.

So, for example, if you book a cruise with an outside cabin  and it is $900 per person for the first two people, it will likely be  only $450. per person for the other two staying in the same cabin.

This is what the Royal Caribbean web site says:

"However, anyone staying in the same stateroom with two full-fare paying guests will pay a special third and/or fourth guest rate."

  4. It depends on where your going.... a family member of mine just went on a disney cruise in Feb. it was really fun but it was VERY pricy. It was around 5000 for the 4 of them.

  5. my 3 kids ( 20,21,23) and i are going in feb 09 with carnival its a 7 day cruise to mexico stoping at 4 ports the cost is 519.00 per person ,then it will be i think 70.00 for tips and fuel  charges, then if we want insurance that 129.00 per person we are getting (you never no what can happen ), the tours are from 20.00 to 79.00 if you go on any of them, we will bring some extra for lunchs,tee-shrits ,souvenir,ect..,i would say in the ball park of 1200 to 1500 ,you can always put down 250.00 per person and pay the rest 90 days before you sail that way you can put some spening money a side to make account of stuff money in a box in your drawer, make a payment to it every time you get paid ,dont count it just put it in there it will add up oh add you can also put out a cup i call mine potty mouth cup everytime you say a bad word put 25 cent in there if you use god in it thats a 1.00 it sounds funny but you can make some good money lol well i hope this helps search around first then right it down to see what you`ll need for where you going it cheaper then driving for a month !!!!!!!!!!!! good luck in your search

  6. You can go to some of the travel websites and see what the prices are for cruises.  A lot depends on when and where and which cruiseline/ship, etc.  A "ballpark" figure is $100/person/day, but this will vary with the type of cabin, the deck, etc.

A good site that is pretty easy to navigate that you may not know about is VacationsToGo.com.

You might want to check your library for a book about cruising, in order to get a general view of what cruising is all about.

  7. it is acording to where you are going. and how long you want to go. On the cruise most of you food is free. You have to pay for your drinks and any souviners you might want to buy. They have onboard photographers that take tons of pics of you and offfer to sell them at the end of the cruise. I have some great cruises on my website. bluewatertravelcompany.com

  8. Which line?  You want an interior room or balcony?  You want to go Caribbean or you thinking more Mediterranean?  Cheapest is Caribbean cruise with an interior room.  Many of those will be about $400-500 per person.

SO for 4 of you--you can be roughly 2,000-4,000 for the cabin.  Now each thing you want to do cost extra too.  You want to spend a couple days at the spa?  You guys really into the casino?  Art auction?  Bingo?  I mean there are so many things that you can spend money on.  Each shore excursion is roughly $100 per person.  Do you want to do one at each port?

Drinks cost something like $5 per drink.  Some are cheaper, some are more expensive--they have drink specials each day.  But an average is around $5.

Then the tips are roughly $100 per person for a week long cruise that they automatically put on your charge card.

I usually spend around $400-$600 but I'm not big into the casinos.  I get the spa package only once on the special pricing day (usually a day in port).  I usually only do one shore excursion per cruise but I do visit the stores and the art auction.

Of course I also have friends who have done the $299 special pricing deals.  So after taxes they spent less than $400 on the room.  They didn't buy stuff and brought their own liquor so they spent roughly $600 for the whole cruise.
