  1. Yes, this rate can vary by ship, sail date, itinerary, etc...  Living in Florida, I book a lot of cruises.  In September/October is when I usually see the better rates come in.  I've sold 3 night cruises where the base rate for an interior cabin is as low as $80!!!!  Of course, you still have your government taxes, fees, and that wonderful new fuel surcharge.  Port Canaveral, for 7 nights, can be a bit pricey.  For 7 night cruises, you can usually find better rates out of Miami and there is an exoctic western Caribbean out of Tampa that is fun.  Again, a lot of options go into this.  But, my experience has been in finding better rates in September/October.

  2. The short answer is that you might spend $100 to $150 per night on a low-cost cruise line like Carnival if you go to the Caribbean during the summer. The long answer:

It depends mainly on four factors -- where you go, when you go, how long you go and your type of cabin.

Mediterranean cruises are among the most expensive. Caribbean cruises are the most popular and among the least expensive, so I'll assume you may be talking about there.

The least expensive time to go generally is November through February, while the most expensive is during the warm summer months when kids are out of school.

Not surprisingly, a three-day cruise will be less expensive than a seven-day. You can make an apples to apples comparison by looking at the average cost per night.

Finally, an interior cabin is usually the cheapest. During the main summer season, an interior cabin may run from $100 a night on up past $200 depending on the cruise line. (Carnival is among the cheapest, but if you want better food and service, plan on paying more for a higher-end cruise line.) I have seen offseason rates as low as $80 a night.

  3. we just got back from a carnival cruise loved it loved it loved it cant wait to go back we flew to florida got the ship 7 days our stops were mexico, grand cayman and jamaica with air fare each person around 1,400 that includes all the food your cabin, plane and a great time, it does not include booze.we booked it last october for this april that pasted thats why we got a great deal so much to do on the ship rock climbin, casino, pools, shows, bingo ,dancin, contests, sooooo much to do we are ready to book another one real soon have fun

  4. It depends so much, the cruise ship itself, how many days, where the cruise is going.
