How much does a dancer earn per month?

I'm 12 and I've been dancing since I was like 7 or 8. And I really have a passion for dance. I'm thinking of becoming a dancer when I turn 18. So if you know, please tell me how much a back-up dancer earns in 1 month!

Not enough to survive without a roommate or two.  Their are exceptions.  The more jobs you get, the more money you'll make, per month.  Keep at it and when the day comes, get yourself an agent and good luck and fun :)  Yes, professional dancers need an agent too. :)

well it depends what you do.

If you were a dancer in a company you get around..15,000 a year-which is pretty low. It would probably be more if it was a more professional company like the Royal ballet.

If you were a prima ballerina or a soloist then you would get around 30,000 a year.

I think probably a choreographer would get the best pay. Don't let money be the reason on what you choose. Do what you love! and if you can get payed for someting your passionate about then you will be truly happy
