  1. you cannot pay a doctor to give you a prescription...you have to NEED it.

not only that, the flaw in your plan is that the law states you must have a prescription from  a US doctor...NOT a mexican doctor.

so, if you want to buy say..Viagra...you need your doctor in the US to write the prescription, then you may cross over, buy it, and show the drugs to the border patrol with no fear of breaking the law.

  2. you can go to a pharmacy and get about any prescription without going to the doctor.

  3. half the price your paying now

  4. As they said, an appointment with a Dr. depending on their specialty could range anywhere from 30 to 60 USD and even more.... but you don't need to go to see a Dr. if you only need a medicine for the flu, for a heartburn, mild painkillers, even some antibiotics and contraceptive pills. They will give you that at any drugstore without asking for prescription. So depending on what you need to buy, you might not have to visit a Dr., and if you do it doesn't mean he'll give you the prescription to buy what you want if they don't consider that you really need it, anyway.

  5. Not quite true, in fact in mexico you can't get any sleep aids without a prescription, not even nyquil, I tried to get a vicodin prescription down there and while it only costs about 5 dollars from the store, something like vicodin you do need a prescription for.  If you are in a big city they can charge up to 50 bucks for a prescription.  Ask around for awhile wherever you go to find the best deal.

  6. Most prescriptions are available without the doctor but if you need something like a painkiller or an anticoagulant, you will need a prescription as Mexican law prohibits dispensing a certain list of medicines without a doctor's prescription. Celebrex is a good example.

If you do need to see a doctor prices range from 300 to 500 pesos here in Pachuca.

  7. it depends on what doctor you go to.
