  1. It can usually run pretty high, however, if you are not that well off financially you can get help while you are pregnant. Check with your local health department and get on the W.I.C (Woman Infants and Children) program and sign up with DHS  (Department of Human Services, formerly F.I.A <Family Independent Agency>) and get on medicaid, they will help enormously with the bills.

    ok, well.......yeah, ok let me give you some "real" numbers. Recently, 8 months ago to be exact, I just went through this for the second time. The doctor's bill for 7+ total visits "before" insurance was 750.00. 1 Level lV office visit was 105.00. 1 level ll office visit was 48.00.  And my postpartum 6 week exam was 143.00. That does not include all the fetal non-stress tests that I had to have at 72.00 each. Also, this did NOT cover the hospital charge for labor and delivery. So, get yourself some help. There is also something out there called The New Life Pregnancy Resource Center, you should check and see if there is one in your area.
