How much does a drumkit cost?

I want to play drums but my parents dont really approve of it. If I come up with the money I think they might consider it.

So how much does a good drumkit cost?

I found a really nice, used Pearl set for $500 for my daughter.Check your local musical instument store and inquire about used sets. Put new heads on a used set and it's as good as new.
