  1. Depends on where the zoo is too. Whether its private or municipal. The zoo I work at is a municipal zoo so they tend to start keepers at part time then promote them to full time. The keepers are civil servants. The last zoo I worked at we were private and we got paid less than my current zoo. Also the zoo I am at is in Los Angeles. Higher cost of living. The zoo I was at as a  keeper before was in Florida, lower cost of living. The range between the two is pretty drastic just based on the cost of living. So it really depends. Keep in mind a zoo may pay less if they are not AZA accredited.

  2. It really depends on what zoo you work for but I have seen it range from $17,000-$23,000 starting.  Usually is in the middle of that though.

  3. on average not a lot, it kinda depends on what you mean though. if you mean you are wanting a job at the zoo, any job, so that you can work your way up to work with animals or what not, then you will probably get paid minimum or just above minimum wage. if you mean getting a degree or whatever is needed to work with the animals you will get paid more, sorry I don't know exact amounts, you could google it and find out though.
