  1. It depends on the intial launch angle.. along with ball speed and then the angle of descent.

If you hit a low lining screamer.. with a low launch.. and high ball speed.. you could end up rolling more than 50 yards..

If you have a high launch angle.. in my case.. mine is around 14-15*.. 98-99 mph swing speed..

I end up with about 245-250 carry.. 5-10 yards of roll.. at best.. but.. thats the way I like it.

  2. It all depends on the type of impact the ball gets from the club head. A slight draw ball will definitely travel further compared to a slight fade ball. At the other extreme neither a hook ball nor a sliced ball will travel very far.

On an ideal weather and fairway condition a draw ball will travel about 30~35% more upon landing on the fairway, whilst a slight fade ball will travel only about 10~15% more after landing on the fairway.

A draw ball will have acquired that characteristic +ve spin after impact, whereas a fade ball has a -ve spin after impact.

Of course the best shot would be for a straight line ball flight path which will achieve the desired distance and landing area, although it could be slightly shorter than a draw ball, with a run of about 15~20% after landing.

  3. That depends on where it lands, course conditions, and many other variables.

A well-hit ball that lands in a well-kept fairway will roll a considerable amount, adding (rough estimate) up to 20% onto the drive: 200 yards in the air + 40 yards on the ground.

  4. Very vague question. Too many different conditions to apply.

  5. that also depends on how you hit it.  How much spin or back spin.  Thats an impossible question to answer.

  6. Typically it will roll 20-40 yards depending on the conditions of the course.

  7. Depends on the degree of your driver and the launch angle. A 10.5 degree driver will have more carry but roll less compared to a 9.5 degree driver
