Depends on the model/make and the configuration which you would require. Higher performance machines with high output engines and advanced on board avionics can really load up the price. Please be specific regarding your requirement and mission profile and perhaps you may end up with a fairly accurate cost.

There are far cheaper helicopters than those quoted - you can buy mini-copters in the $30,000-90,000 range. Depends on how fancy you want them. Robinsons can be expensive, but they have smaller ones that are under $100,000 I believe. And when you get to the Experimental and Ultralight arena, they get even cheaper, but they don't have long legs, and are extremely noisy.

But they can range from £200,000 up to millions.

Robinson Helicopters out of Chandler,Az. (Phoenix) makes and sells a lot of them... the basic unit is around 180 k.  Simple two seater--- or they also have kits I think that you can build yourself given you have about 400 hrs and not in a rush to do.. instructions come with the kit.  You have to have some mechanical talent as well...
