  1. bwj is right, the standard for a jockey is 10% of the horse's winnings.

    They also get a flat rate fee for riding the horse regardless of whether it wins or comes last.  In GB the fee for flat jockeys is around £95 (approx $190) and for jump jockeys is about £120 (approx $235).


  2. he gets his mount fee....$50.00 to $75.00

    and 10% of the purse...most tracks pay from 1st to 5th place.
