  1. Check out the link below...  It will give you a nice summary of the pay grades for Meteorologists

    P.S.  An intern starting with the NWS usually comes in as a GS5 or GS7...  with GS9 possible  depending on grades, prior experience (if any) and classes taken.

    Also, the base pay can be adjusted depending on cost of living at the specific WFO.


  2. The starting salary is $25,000 a year. That can increase up to $60,000 - $90,000 a year during a person's career in the NWS.
