  1. The federal minimum wage is $5.85/ hour (it'll go up to $6.55/hour on July 24th).  The minimum wage in your state may be higher.

If you work 40 hrs per week and have 15% deducted for social security, Medicaid, and federal and state income taxes, that's about $200 per week or roughly $850 per month.

If you save all of this, you can make $2000 in around 2 1/2 months.

  2. It depends upon what the minimum wage is where you live and how many hours you would work a week.  If you know those numbers, you just have to do the math to figure the gross income for the month.

  3. If you work Full Time and we are taking about take home pay, AFTER taxes, and you don't claim anyone and take out max taxes you would have to make $15.75 an hour if you using Arizona tax system (if you are in another state it might be higher or lower) about $1,004.61 (every 2 weeks after taxes). Either way if you make federal minimum wage, $5.85/hr, using the same arizona tax system is about $391.99 every 2 weeks which is about $784 a month, a bit far off.

    use this calculator: http://www.paycheckcity.com/NetPayHRates...

put in what state, how much you'll make hourly, and your frequency of pay (weekly, Biweekly Monthly)

    Example: $15.75/hr 80hrs Biweekly

                or $15.75/hr 40hrs Weekly

If you want to make $2000 before taxes you would have to make $12.50 with a take home pay of about $1600
