  1. There is no law that says if you are a minor and involved in an accident you are going to get money. Simple as that.

If you are claiming under your own policy, your medical bills will be covered under your Medical Payment Coverage, if you have that available on your policy.

After the Medpay is exhausted, thats all your policy will pay..

  2. It depends if it was your fault, the value of your vehicle, if you were injured and what type of coverage you have.   Being a minor has nothing to do with it.

For example, if you have liability, and it was your fault, you won't get a penny, except for your medical costs.  If you have full coverage, or if you have liability and it wasn't your fault, you'll get paid the full value of your car and any medical costs.

  3. its gonna cost you $20,000

  4. You don't simply "Get" money handed to you automatically.  You have to prove you were injured and then what you "get" is negotiated.  Get Your insurance company involved.

  5. Not true, a minor does not get extra money from being in an accident.

  6. There is no  "you automatically get $x.xx because you are a minor who was involved in an accident".

Who ever told you that is an idiot and has no idea how insurance claims work. Stop listening to that person because they don't know the difference between their f***y and  a hole in the ground.

Each claim is evaluated on it's own merits. Therefore, the value of each claim is different.

Also- minors claims often have to be approved by a judge (if they go over a certain amount). The court makes sure that the settlement amount is fair and that the money is locked away for the minor. The minor gets the money when they turn 18.  Mom and Dad - do not get the minor's money.
