How much does a passport cost and how long does it last for?

Here in california they have for  i guess for 5 and 10 yrs for 10 yrs you pay  around 110.00. my husband just got one and that is what he paid  for 10 yrs passport..........

The answer for both depends on what your age is.  For an adult 16 years of age or older, a passport will run you $97 and is good for 10 years.  That cost is if you chose not to have it expedited at all.  For children 16 years of age and younger it costs $82 dollars and I believe that how long its good for depends on just how young the child is, but that I'm unsure of.  You can also go through some agency's if you need you passport say... tomorrow, but it'll cost you alot.
