  1. I think the average in the Guinness Premiership is something like £70'000 a year + bonuses for winning. The highest paid position is tighthead prop. Some of the overseas players get paid much more, like Carl Hayman is being paid something like £500'000 over three years for the Newcastle Falcons. I think the England international team players are on £100'000 a year + bonuses for every game won, and for positions in the 6 Nations, World Cup etc.

  4. it will depend on the salary cap, its no where near what a footballer earns but an example i can give would be Super League player Paul Cooke who plays for Hull Kingston Rovers (league not union) earns £100, 000 per year
