  1. It all depends of the size of the market the station is in.  The bigger the market, the bigger the paycheck usually.  There are exceptions to ever rule.  I now when I was just starting out in radio, I worked part time at a small town station... I only made minimum wage there .  It it not totally unheard of for a Morning Personality in a top 10 market to make six figures easily.  Radio is just like a ladder, there is aways a bigger market to move up to, and as you make your way up that ladder of success, your paychecks should grow just as well.

  2. Depends on the market.  Major market(big city) you will make more.  Depends on the company you work for too.

Morning show talent usually make the most.  I work in a top 35 market.  I work part-time for about $12 per hour.  I have a friend at another station in this same market and he claims he makes $20 per hour.  I know he is lying, because I know his boss :)

  3. 300,000 - 400,000 a year!

  4. I've seen midday jocks in major markets that make $10 an hour.  Radio is not a rich business.  You gotta love it if you're gonna be in it.
