How much does a restaurant like "Bennigans'" or "Chilis" Pay for a geg of beer???

i would assume they get a very bad deal, because they charge 3.50 for a 23oz glass............Just wondering why draft beer is so expensive in some restaurants???

  2. The average keg of domestic beer is $55-$60 per keg. The reason that restaurants charge so much is that people will pay for it and it helps balance out the %% for higher cost liquiors. I am a restaurant manger and it has been that way forever, thats why you will occonisally see BIG draft beer specials.

    A keg is 15.5 gallons.   That means they can sell approximately 86 23 ounce beers out of that keg.

    So they make about $300 a keg.   They don't pay that much, believe me.
