How much does a rookie police officer fresh out of the academy earns a year?

Depends on the agency you are hired by.  When I started with my agency starting pay was 38K with a top out of 55K.  7 years later starting is 40K and top out is 59K.

Depends on the department, I started at 56. Check your local dept websites.

Its based on the city or town..In big cities Police Officers make around 40 g's. Some small towns make alot less and some dont even require a civil service exam and make like $10 a hour.
