  1. Letter carriers, whether rural or city, earn their pay as in other fields of employment.  They begin at the bottom rung of the ladder and work their way up.  My son is a letter carrier and he begin as a substitute carrier.  Has worked there for about 18 years and I am not sure how much he makes, but it must be a considerable amount; the post office he works out of has a union.  I don't know if all post offices or union or not.

  3. why do you like a mailman and want to find out how much he makes before you get involved with him??? they make between 40-45000 a year.. not too shabby..
